Camp is open to 7 years to 13 years old.
What kind of activities will be at camp?
So many activities! Campers will get the opportunity to:
Meet real animal ambassadors - campers will get to meet dozens of different animal ambassadors.
STEM activities and experiments to learn about our natural world.
Zookeeping - learn about animal diets, prepare a meal for your favorite animal and feed them!
Animal Careers - learn all about different career fields within wildlife conservation: herpetology, wildlife biologist, park ranger, environment educator, zoo keeper and more!
Wildlife Hikes - campers hike with our wildlife guides to find, identify and learn the world around us.
Fun summer camp games
Swimming - a swimming pool with lifeguards will be available. Campers will take a swim test to determine their swim level. Specific sections of the pool will be available for different levels of swimmers.
Q: What campers need for camp?
A:
Sack lunch, water bottle & afternoon snack.
Swimsuit and Towel - if they will be swimming.
Tennis Shoes.
Comfortable clothing that is okay to get dirty.
Extra set of clothing: shorts/pants, t-shirt. We will be hiking, doing science experiments, etc so having an extra set is highly recommended.
Backpack - to store any extra supplies/items they need
They can bring a cell phone if they wish. Many activities may include water, dirt, etc so we can not be held liable for damage, loss or stolen property.
Q: Can siblings and friends be requested to be in the same group?
A: Absolutely! If friends, siblings or relatives would like to be in the same group let us know in the notes and we can make that happen.
Q: Will breakfast or lunch be provided?
A: Breakfast and lunch will NOT be provided. Campers should bring a cold lunch and water bottle and snack. Refrigerators are available for use to store lunches.
Q: Do campers have to swim?
A: No. If campers do not want to swim we will have other activities available. Lifeguards will assess campers swimming abilities and assign them to a swim level. Portions of the pool are marked for different level of swimmers (minnow, dolphin and shark).
Q: Will an indoor space be available?
A: Absolutely! We have a large nature center campers will have access to all day. It is equipped with a restrooms, refrigerator, microwave and all amenities needed for day camp.
Q: Where can I apply to be a volunteer Junior Camp Counselor?
A: Please visit the link below to apply to be a camp counselor. Forms will be completed soon and we can email information. To be a Junior Camp Counselor you must be 14 years of age or older (13 years of age if you are a previous camper). Junior Counselors assist the Senior Camp Counselors with group activities.
